COUNTRY:

REFERENCE STANDARDS:
IEC

PROJECT:
Pet food production plant

SUPPLY DESCRIPTION:
Control systems (panels and software) and electrical installation for the management of the entire production plant on two production lines: Raw material storage, milling plant, automatic dosing system, micro-component dosing, extrusion, greasing and continuous dosing of liquids and powders, storage, conveying to bagging.

TECHNOLOGIES EMPLOYED:
Software to control weighing belts, continuous percentage dosing, batch dosing, batch traceability in the plant, distributed control panels, local control stations.

DISTINCTIVE ELEMENTS:
Gradual expansion of the plant, which has grown over time, with the development of various independent yet interconnected automation panels. Tracking of product movements in the plant. Interfacing with company ERP for industry 4.0. Design, construction and installation of hardware, software and electrical system.

BENEFITS FOR THE CUSTOMER:
Today a single control room at the centre of the plant allows the extruder to control the two production lines, from the loading of raw materials to the storage of the finished product. Remote controls are available for operators in the dosing and bagging area. Each part of the plant is configured as an integrated machine in an industry 4.0 system that has brought a considerable economic benefit with the construction and functional integration of the production plant with the administrative and logistics department. In this way, production operators no longer have to worry about managing data flows that do not directly concern production, and that are managed autonomously by the system (batch codes, products, formulas, reporting).
