Hardware/software design,
Safety hardware/software design based on a risk analysis,
Testing,
Verification of the achievement of the PLr in the various areas
Safety validation.
TECHNOLOGIES EMPLOYED:
Safety, motion control, HMI
DISTINCTIVE ELEMENTS:
The axes work following a cam profile calculated on the basis of the size to be processed. The synchronism master is an external encoder mounted on the flywheel. This minimizes the stress on the mechanics of the axes because their dynamics depend on the current speed of the flywheel and are not always controlled at maximum speed, as was the case with the previous electronics.
BENEFITS FOR THE CUSTOMER:
Keeping the mechanics of machines from the 1990s, but changing all the electronics. Transitioning from embedded to commercial electronics permits a 25% increase in speed (going from 90CPM to 125CPM) and increases productivity from 85% to 95%.
